In his last assignment he was the Chief Executive and Managing Director of an organization which was into Service Apartments sector of the Hospitality Industry. His experience in Propert Management would also prove invaluable to Future Space India.
The flagship of the group ‐ Netindia Pvt. Ltd., started as joint venture between HCL Technologies and Mr. Hari Prasad in the year 2000. Netindia went on to receive funding from the HIVE Fund a Venture Capital Fund managed by HITVEL (An A.P Government Enterprise).
Hari Prasad’s experience spans over a decade and a half in a myriad of roles, from being the chief product architect and strategist in Netindia Pvt. Ltd., that led the company bringing out numerous technologically advanced and innovative products, to being the CMD of the entire Netindia group, wherein he provides direction and strategy to all the group companies. Apart from Netindia Pvt. Ltd., he currently serves on the Board of Future Space India Infrastructure & Realty pvt. Ltd., and Koffee Media Pvt. Ltd.
Hari Prasad also operates as a part time Angel Investor in the IT & ITeS Sector and has made a few investments, in companies which are currently operating in the stealth stage.
While not pursuing business opportunities, Hari Prasad, contributes time and energies to improve the currently perceived deficiencies in the Indian Electoral System. He has contributed considerable time and efforts to bring out the vulnerabilities in the currently deployed model of the Electronic Voting Machines and is working towards developing a tamper proof model, which he plans to donate to the Government of India. His activities have received wide coverage in the print and electronic media.
Most recently, Vijay served as Assistant Vice President, (Projects & Venture Funding) at HITVEL, a Hyderabad based AMC which manages early‐stage technology venture capital funds. HITVEL was jointly promoted by APIDC, APIIC & SIDBI and is backed by Srei Venture Capital Limited a wholly owned subsidiary of Srei Infrastructure Finance Limited. During his tenure at HITVEL, he served as Nominee Director on the Boards of Catalytic Software, DSR Solutions, Sharelogic and NetIndia.
Prior to HITVEL, Vijay headed the Finance and Marketing Functions at Strontium Ferriten India Limited, a diversified company with interests in manufacturing, investing and construction. He was instrumental in diversification of the company apart from initiating exports and new product development. Prior to that, Vijay was with the Finance Team of Monster.com’s Indian operations.
Vijay has a BA in Management from Pondicherry University, and a Diploma in Planning & Entrepreneurship from the Indian Institute of Planning & Management and Masters in Business Administration from The International Management Institute, Brussels.
